《金融時報》全球五百大企業：宏利名列人壽保險公司組別首位

《金融時報》公布二零零五年全球五百大企業的排名，宏利金融於「人壽保險公司」組別中名列全球首位，超越 Prudential Financial、Metlife、Aviva及英國保誠等其他十家壽險公司。。

宏利金融於全球五百大企業排名由二零零四年的三百一十三位大幅躍升一百七十七級至今年的一百三十六位，市值高達三百八十六億零二百九十萬美元。

以下節錄自《金融時報》：「《金融時報》的全球五百大企業排行榜每年均會列出全球最大企業的排名。二零零五年的排名及資料顯示於過去一年內，全球各大企業的市值變化，並就企業及行業組別的表現作出比較。五百大企業是按照公司的市值依次排名－即把公司的股價乘以其已發行的股份數目，所以公司的市值愈大，其排名便會愈高。」

Global 500: Manulife leads in life assurance

The 2005 ranking of companies by Financial Times in its FT Global 500 shows Manulife Financial as the global leader in the Life Assurance sector, topping 10 other life insurance companies, including Prudential Financial, Metlife, Aviva and Prudential UK.

On the global list of all companies, Manulife Financial, at a market value of US$38,602.9 (million), ranks as number 136 - a significant upward shift of 177 notches, from number 313 in 2004. We are clearly one of the largest companies in the world now.

The 2005 annual ranking and data give a remarkable picture of how corporate fortunes have changed in the past year, and highlight the relative performance of companies and sectors.
